#37 Features: Joey Wit and The Definition | Scott Bravo | Canyon. | Zach Andersen |
$5 | Doors @7:30pm | Show @8pm | Sage Sounds Studios | 549 Howe Ave, Shelton, CT
After our "Monsters in the Round" departure from the regular MoAR format in March, we are back at it on April 26th @7:30pm at Sage Sound Studios in Shelton, Connecticut with two newcomers and two veterans for the 37th edition of Monsters of Acoustic Rock Concert Series.
Joey Wit and The Definition - MoAR newcomer!
Joey Wit and The Definition at MoAR will feature Joey accompanied by Clay Selmont (lead guitar) and Julian Sherwood (drums/harmony vocals).
Joey along with Clay and Julian have been working hard to bring a special, stripped down set to Monsters of Acoustic Rock attendees on 4/26. Expect some new material and alternate renditions of their songs at this intimate event.
Fans of styles and sounds from The Beatles, The Stones, Dylan, and Petty to Wilco, Radiohead, Jason Isbell, and Ryan Adams will be in for a treat!
Scott Bravo - MoAR veteran
For those that know or don't know this virtuoso's acoustic instrumental wonders, everyone will be able to say they were there, when Scott Bravo records his set live at MoAR on Friday. Let's pack the house so we can get some raucous crowd roars after every song!
To going solely acoustic from playing amplified hardcore & metal in the past, you can still feel the attack and passion surface in Scott's songs, that is typically felt with the aforementioned genres.
And even if the feel of his most recent influences in Zakk Wylde, Slash, DiMeola, and Vai aren't your thing, you will no doubt be mesmerized by Scott's own take on playing "fingerstyle". MoAR is the perfect way to see this virtuosity up-close-and-personal!
Canyon. - MoAR newcomer!
Canyon. is acoustic folk that is lyrically driven and passionately performed. Canyon. combines catchy vocal melodies with heart-wrenching & honest lyrics and is as much a wordsmith as she is a vocal powerhouse.
Although a newcomer to the Monsters of Acoustic Rock Concert Series, Canyon. is a seasoned performer around CT and beyond. It is not often you will catch her in as intimate a space as the Sage Sound Studios live room & rehearsal space, so don't miss out on seeing her live on April 26th!
"...She’s a songwriter with a potent arsenal of music and the hope here is that we continue to hear more of it in the future.” - Chip McCabe, Lonesome Noise
Zach Andersen - MoAR veteran & head ambassador
Zach is sure to have something new and exciting in store for us, as with every MoAR he has played, he has topped the last. Get ready to sing along and sway along at MoAR 37 with Zach pulling alt-indie acoustic masterpieces from his breadth of studio releases. From "Breathe in the Air" to "Spend My Life", we promise you will not be able to get his songs out of your head after his performance!
