Him or Her Band from University of New Haven

We are very excited to welcome Him or Her to Sage Sound Studios for their Monsters of Acoustic Rock debut. Hailing from the University of New Haven, Him or Her describes their sound as one which will make you rock and cry, all at the same time.

Their first album, Dogs Hates Man was just released on December 8th and is available now on all streaming services.

Stay in touch with Him or Her by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Jeff Burnham & the Insiders

Monsters of Acoustic Rock veteran, Jeff Burnham is a singer-songwriter whose work builds on the Americana and folk-rock tradition. After several years writing for and performing with his band Tuesday Saints, Jeff has redefined his sound with a solo project called Jeff Burnham & the Insiders. The new band features Lindsey Clark (viola/fiddle/vocals), Seth Adam (drums/vocals), and Scott Chaurette (bass).

Jeff performs regularly in Connecticut and throughout the region in addition to his own barn where he curates an annual summer concert series, "Live At The Barn." For more information about upcoming shows and the availability of Jeff's upcoming solo record, Lost and Found, (due to be released in early 2019), be sure to follow the band on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can also stream Hard Luck Town from Tuesday Saints on Spotify, Bandcamp and Apple Music.

This will be Jeff's third time performing at Monsters of Acoustic Rock, each appearance bringing a different lineup and sound to the Sage Sound Studios live room. Check out this video from Jeff's first MoAR performance with Tuesday Saints back in November, 2017.

This multi-talented group pairs sisters Katherine M. Atkin and Victoria Lee Atkin with Matthew Feinberg, shaping bluegrass with alternative pop overtones.

This trio has been playing shows throughout the New Haven area over the past few months including Cafe Nine and Stella Blues and we're thrilled that they will be bringing their blend of ukulele, guitar, flute, trumpet, saxophone, percussion, and 3 part harmony to our CT Recording Studio.

While this is the trio's first time performing at MoAR, member Victoria Lee Atkin is a veteran, making her Sage Sound Studios live room debut at MoAR #15 back on June, 23 2017.

Follow Kat Matt & Tor Trio on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date on upcoming shows and announcements.

The final Monsters of Acoustic Rock of 2018 will be an exciting one for MoAR co-creator and performer extraordinaire, Zach Andersen, as it will serve as the official release event for his brand new single, "Breathe In the Air". This song was recorded at Sage Sound Studios, by our very own Nathan Sage and features MoAR veteran Kala Farnham on vocals.

Fans of the The Local Bands Show, hosted by Rick Allison and Frank Critelli and airing weekly on 99.1 PLR (Sunday nights at 10pm) and Cygnus Radio (Mondays around noonish), were treated to a sneak peek of Zach's beautiful new single as it was featured during this week's show.

As we wrap up 2018, and another fantastic year of live music at Sage Sound Studios, we want to say a very special THANK YOU to Zach for all he does to make Monsters of Acoustic Rock possible each month! From booking and coordinating the acts, promoting the shows, conducting the interviews for his Z to A: Alphabetical Interviews with Zach Andersen series, and of course, sharing his music with us each month, we thank you and are looking forward to doing it all over again in 2019!
